The Rural Outreach Center is holding a summer program for children served at the ROC. We are looking to hire motivated individuals to help run the program and provide a fantastic summer for our kids. Group Leader

The ROC Summer Enrichment Program is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to take on the role of Group Leader throughout the ROC 5 week Summer Enrichment Program. This program is designed to provide ROC kids with opportunities to grow and learn all while having fun! It is steeped in hands-on learning and play, as well as personal reflection and social interaction in order to provide a meaningful and well-rounded summer enrichment experience for each and every child! The overarching goal of this Enrichment Program is to provide ROC kids with the care, tools and confidence to be successful beyond our space. 

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a group of 5-6 children through day to day enrichment activities including, but not limited to: Art, Music, Digital Composition, Dance, STEAM Activities, Drama, Sports & Games, ect.
  • Lead 1-2 other staff within your group and provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to youth.
  • Cultivate teamwork and collaboration with team members to deliver the best possible experience to youth.
  • Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed.
  • Provide exceptional engagement , educational instructions, activities, fun and safety for ROC kids
  • Adhere and enforce all CDC and State mandated guidelines including, but not limited to, COVID-19 and other health and safety issues.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for working with rural students/children
  • Comfortable with a fast paced, fluid, & flexible working environment
  • Comfortable with participating in a completely outdoor program & physical activities
  • Comfortable with providing trauma informed care
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and be engaging and supportive to all our families and other staff team members
  • First-Aid Certified (Preferred)

Experience: Previous Enrichment and/or Camp experience, Previous Leadership Experience, Experience Working with rural youth (Preferred) 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $14.50/hr

Hours: M-F 8AM – 3:30PM

Start: July 7th – July 9th (Training), July 12th – Aug 13th (Program)


Counselor

The ROC Summer Enrichment Program is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to participate in the ROC 5 week Summer Enrichment Program as Counselors. As an enrichment program counselor you will have the opportunity to work with a Group Leader, Counselor in Training, and rural youth as a part of an exciting new summer program! This program is designed to provide ROC kids with opportunities to grow and learn all while having fun! It is steeped in hands-on learning and play, as well as personal reflection and social interaction in order to provide a meaningful and well-rounded summer enrichment experience for each and every child! The overarching goal of this Enrichment Program is to provide ROC kids with the care, tools and confidence to be successful beyond our space.

Support Staff

The ROC Summer Enrichment Program is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to assist with the ROC 5 week Summer Enrichment Program as Support Staff. As support staff you would have the opportunity to assist with the day to day administrative functions necessary to keep things organized! This new program is designed to provide ROC kids with opportunities to grow and learn all while having fun! It is steeped in hands-on learning and play, as well as personal reflection and social interaction in order to provide a meaningful and well-rounded summer enrichment experience for each and every child! The overarching goal of this Enrichment Program is to provide ROC kids with the care, tools and confidence to be successful beyond our space. 

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

  • Check-in & Check out Procedures
  • Maintain Incident and Communication Logs
  • Provide groups support as needed in the day to day enrichment activities including, but not limited to: Art, Music, Digital Composition, Dance, STEAM Activities, Drama, Sports & Games, ect.
  • Assist with operational activities as needed throughout the day.
  • Adhere and enforce all CDC and State mandated guidelines including, but not limited to, COVID-19 and other health and safety issues.
