A #GivingTuesday Campaign
Community Supporting Community
Every day, people in our community wake up knowing that today will be another struggle. They know their children likely won’t have enough to eat. They know that their job will never pay them enough to support their family, no matter how many long hours they work. They know that their car is on its last legs and they will soon be left without transportation.
Every day, people in our community step forward to make a difference. They see their neighbors struggling and they know they can do something about it. They know that they have the power to make their community a better place.
Every day, the staff at the Rural Outreach Center come in to do a difficult job. They know they will hear about unimaginable trauma and work with individuals facing impossible situations. They also know that they are changing lives. They are helping people heal, and by doing so, they are helping our community heal.
Our community supports each other. The ROC can attest to that. Our work – healing traumas, overcoming barriers, and breaking the cycle of rural poverty – could not happen without that support.
The ROC would not be able to do our work without the support of our community. Please remember our local small businesses this holiday season. So many of them have stepped forward to donate their time, resources, and expertise to the ROC. Today, we’d like to celebrate their support and ask you to support them as well.

Great Erie Federal Credit Union is a long-time partner of the ROC’s, helping break the cycle of rural poverty through financial literacy and banking services. Their support extends beyond that, however – Great Erie also adopts a family (or 2) each Christmas to shop for, runs collection drives, and offers support via staff and member donations. Learn more at their website.
Metamorphosis Pilates and Bodywork is a wonderful part of our community and often supports the ROC’s mission through fundraisers and collection drives. Learn more about the services offered at Metamorphosis by visiting their website.
