ROC hosts annual Back-to-School Party

The ROC held a very successful Back-to-School Party on Aug. 29 at the Boys and Girls Club of East Aurora. The fifth annual event was attended by 150 children from East Aurora, Holland and surrounding communities.

Students invited to the party received a brand new backpack filled with the most needed school supplies, free hair styling courtesy of five volunteer professionals, a school photo, an eye exam and a dental care kit. In addition, the children could participate in science experiments, create a wind sock at the craft table and enjoy refreshments.  

The ROC is delighted to help these great kids prepare for the new school year and would like to thank everyone who helped make the event possible. Major donors included the Boys and Girls Club of East Aurora, Aurora Optometric Group, Vidler’s 5 & 10 and Terry’s Photo Studio. A round of applause also goes to our five wonderful volunteer hair stylists, Baker Victory Services, the Rotary Club, East Aurora Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Aurora Cutting Edge!
