Rural Outreach Center posts job openings
The Rural Outreach Center (ROC), an East Aurora-based nonprofit organization offering a wide variety of social services for those living in Western New York’s rural communities, is currently looking to fill two open positions.
Position: Administrator/Financial Focus
Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities and computer skills. Grant management experience, bookkeeping and human resource experience necessary. Strong organizational skills, flexible, passion for mission-driven work, and ability to adhere to confidentiality policies. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with Chief Operating Officer, staff, Rural Outreach Center participants, consultants and visitors. Ability to make people feel comfortable and welcomed.
Primary Responsibility: Coordinating and organizing the front office and administrative support of the Rural Outreach Center, with a focus on financial areas, including grants management. Determine initial course of action for ROC participants.
Duties:
1. Provides front office organization and administrative support for ROC staff including, but not limited to, answering phones and taking messages, greeting visitors and participants, and making appointment reminder calls.
2. Works in partnership and coordination with Social Work Department to assess situations and problem solve for ROC participants, and keeps CORS up to date and provides reports.
3. Works in partnership and coordination with ROC financial components and the ED/COO/Treasurer/Grant Writer/Senior Social Worker/Program Manger to manage grants, implement yearly development plan, provide financial information, and perform other financial duties as assigned.
4. Works in partnership with the COO to coordinate human resources, including but not limited to producing onboarding materials, tracking employee benefits and coordinating payroll.
5. Works with the Facilities Director to maintain and coordinate all facilities management and repair.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Excellent computer, communication and people skills. Marketing, digital media and Creative Suite experience necessary. Ability to work independently and cooperatively with Chief Operating Officer, staff, ROC participants, consultants and visitors. Strong organizational skills, flexibility, passion for mission-driven work and ability to adhere to confidentiality policies.

Determine initial course of action for ROC participants.

1. Provides front office organization and administrative support for ROC staff including, but not limited to, answering phones and taking messages, greeting visitors and participants, and making appointment reminder calls.
2. Works in partnership and coordination with Social Work Department to assess situations and problem solve for ROC participants, and keeps CORS up to date and provides reports.
3. Works in partnership and coordination with ROC marketing/communication components and the ED/COO/Public Affairs Coordinator to implement yearly communication plan, including but not limited to digital marketing, social media, monthly newsletter, advertising programs and ROC Resolutions.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.
