Rural Outreach Center seeks volunteers for a variety of rural poverty initiatives
The Rural Outreach Center (ROC) seeks volunteers to join the organization in empowering those experiencing rural poverty. Volunteers play a vital role in providing support to those affected by the unique circumstances of poverty in socially isolated areas.
Please come learn more about the ROC and the experience of volunteering from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22. The meeting will be held in the ROC’s Kiwanis Room at 730 Olean Road, East Aurora.
A wide variety of volunteer opportunities exist, and the ROC is always in need of caring, compassionate volunteers to help carry out their mission. Volunteering for The ROC is rewarding and flexible, whether it’s just for a one-time project or an ongoing position. Volunteers are sought for the following areas, and more:
• Social Work Assistance Team
• Kids’ Programs
• School Readiness
