Rural Outreach Center to offer free resume and interview workshop

Need to update your resume or want to improve your interviewing skills? Make yourself and your resume stand out to potential employers by stopping by the Rural Outreach Center (ROC) in East Aurora on Monday, Aug. 12. A nonprofit organization offering a wide variety of social services for those living in Western New York’s rural communities, the ROC is located at 730 Olean Road.

Two workshops will be offered on Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The workshop advisor will offer tips and ideas on how to make your resume look and sound professional. If you have a resume, bring it along so you can go over it with the instructor and receive feedback.

The ROC facility is completely wheelchair accessible, and childcare will be provided during the workshops, which are free and open to the public. For more information or to RSVP for a workshop, please call (716) 240-2220, ext. 202.

For more information on the ROC, please visit www.theroc.co or follow the Rural Outreach Center on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TheRuralOutreachCenter for frequent updates.
