The Rural Outreach Center raises more than $30,000 with its annual golf tournament.

September 16thA sold-out group of golfers helped raise $31,000 for The Rural Outreach Center (ROC) at the annual ROC Classic Golf Tournament, held at the East Aurora Country Club.  Thanks to the generosity of the golfers and the tournament’s sponsors, The ROC is able to dedicate the funds raised to supporting its mission of eradicating rural poverty in southern Western New York.  The ROC provides families and individuals living in rural poverty with counseling, play therapy, care coordination, budgeting support, mentoring, tutoring, and other interventions designed to help them break the cycle of rural poverty.

The 2024 ROC Classic featured tastings by sponsor Southern Tier Brewing Company, on-course games sponsored by CTBK, and a hole-in-one sponsored by Astronics.  Other sponsors included flag sponsor O’Donnell and Associates, dinner sponsor Lemur Construction, luck of the draw sponsor Tom McDonnell, mulligan sponsor Wales Center Hotel, snack cart sponsor Walsh Duffield, and general sponsors The Hart Family, Independent Health, and Friends of The ROC.  An additional 34 local businesses and organizations sponsored via tee signs.

The ROC extends its gratitude to the community members who helped make the tournament a success.
